Dear Colleagues,

In an era of rapid technological advances, urban areas face unique challenges and significant opportunities for smart innovation. This track explores the dynamics between digital initiatives and urban development, highlighting risks such as environmental impacts, data management and socioeconomic disparities, while highlighting opportunities for operational efficiency and urban regeneration.

Key areas of focus include:

Data Governance: Implement data management strategies that not only respect privacy and security, but also maximize the operational effectiveness of smart cities. This includes developing policies that improve the collection, analysis and use of data to support informed management decisions and promote sustainable innovations.

Smart Urban Innovation: Streamline processes to reduce operational costs, improve service delivery and support economic growth through advanced infrastructure and smart city solutions.

Environmental Issues: Address rising energy consumption and e-waste through sustainable practices in the lifecycle management of digital technologies.

Inclusive Digitalization: Preventing the digital divide by improving accessibility to public services and enhancing civic engagement and social equity.

Economic Policies: Shaping urban transformations by promoting technological and infrastructure upgrades that stimulate economic growth and job creation.

Urban Regeneration: Promoting the regeneration of urban areas by integrating digital innovations into urban planning and development to revitalize local communities, improve the quality of urban life and strengthen infrastructure resilience.

By integrating digital strategies into urban planning, this track aims to catalyze regeneration, improve infrastructure resilience and promote sustainable development. We encourage multidisciplinary dialogue  to deepen the understanding of how urban areas can effectively navigate and exploit the complexities of digital transformation.

We look forward to your valuable contributions!
