Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue titled "Green Finance and Organizational Sustainability: Emerging Trends and Challenges" probes into the critical role of green finance in promoting sustainable practices within organizations across various sectors. It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the impact, challenges, and future prospects of green finance in the context of sustainable development.

In recent years, green finance has emerged as a key factor in the global sustainable development agenda. It represents a transformative approach to align financial flows with environmental and social goals, thereby fostering a sustainable and resilient global economy. The rise of green finance is driven by increasing awareness of climate change risks and societal demands for greater corporate responsibility. This has placed green finance at the heart of strategic business planning and policy-making.

The Special Issue offers a platform for scholarly discourse and empirical research on the evolving dynamics of green finance and its implications for organizational sustainability. It covers a range of topics, including green financial instruments, corporate environmental strategies, regulatory frameworks, and innovative financing models. The issue aims to provide the latest academic insights, practical experiences, and forward-looking perspectives in the field.

The rationale behind this Special Issue stems from the growing recognition of finance as a crucial element in achieving sustainable development goals. In an era of climate change, resource depletion, and social inequality, traditional financial decision-making paradigms are being re-evaluated. Green finance integrates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into financial practices, supporting sustainable economic growth and organizational development.

The urgency of environmental challenges has led to a paradigm shift in financial markets. Investors, regulators, and stakeholders are increasingly focusing on sustainability, driving the demand for green finance products and services. This shift is a strategic response to environmental and social imperatives and a move to mitigate risks and seize new market opportunities in a sustainable economy. The Special Issue explores how green finance is reshaping corporate finance and investment, highlighting its potential as a catalyst for innovative and sustainable business practices.
