Social infrastructure means the basic facilities that help economic systems indirectly. These services include education, health and hygiene, pure water, accommodation, and sewerage. Social infrastructure significant role to upgrade the human living standard. Therefore, it can be said that investment in research and development, education, and health contributes to improving the quality of life of the population and henceforth to efficiency. The knowledge economy refers to an economic model which relies on the production of goods and services that are primarily knowledge-intensive. In a knowledge economy, education and training are key pillars for development. The key indicators of a knowledge economy are education, research and development, innovation, economic incentives and institutional system, and infrastructure. Education is an investment in human capital that can lead to higher productivity and economic growth. Social infrastructure is imperative for the development of the knowledge economy. It provides the necessary foundation for innovation and creativity by providing access to education and training opportunities. In addition, social infrastructure also supports the development of healthcare systems that are essential for maintaining a healthy workforce. Hence, social infrastructure (education and health) is critical for the development of a knowledge economy.
