Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We cordially invite you to contribute to the special issue titled "Energy Policy and Green Development" in the Journal of Infrastructure, Policy and Development.  This special issue aims to stimulate scholarly discussions concerning the ongoing transition in the energy sector and its resulting outcomes.  We observe a visible shift from brown and non-renewable energy sources to green and renewable energy generation due to ongoing technological advancements.  This green transition has led to the implementation of various development strategies within the energy sector and its branches, all influenced by the principles of Sustainable Development.

As a consequence of this transition, new green management approaches and innovative technologies are being employed as integral elements of the energy sector's business ecosystem.  These changes are also evident in the education and social systems, innovation policies, emerging smart cities, infrastructure development, and the pursuit of environmentally optimal scenarios.  Such endeavors help mitigate the detrimental effects of human impact on the environment and contribute to the overall concept of green development.  Additionally, they facilitate the creation of new green jobs and the emergence of eco-innovations.

While the above topics are frequently addressed in scientific publications, there are other research areas that possess substantial potential for development yet receive limited attention.  These topics include sustainable infrastructure, green finance, energy carrier sales forecasting, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, low-carbon mobility, energy sector infrastructure, country infrastructure as a whole, and intergenerational risk assessment of energy sector infrastructure.  We strongly encourage potential authors to share their original research results, review articles, or methodological contributions related to these areas.  Potential authors may submit material related to, but not limited to, the above areas.

The special issue will be curated by a panel of esteemed reviewers who are experts in the field.  We look forward to receiving your valuable contributions and fostering insightful discussions on energy policy and green development.  Should you have any queries or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Sincerely,

Adam Sulich and Łukasz Kozar
