Special Issue Information

The development of green structures related to sustainable tourism has become one of the fundamental pillars to counteract and mitigate the actions of excessive economic growth related to the tourism sector.

In most countries, a plan has been developed that involves the dedication of monetary resources to develop public policies and changes in regulations that allow the private sector to make profitable and sustainable investments, all of which are related to the Sustainable Development Goals set by the 2030 Agenda. Quantitative and qualitative studies are welcome to our Special Issue that analyse improvements and efficiencies based on past or future sustainable tourism projects.

From a scientific point of view, it is essential to provide studies that make proposals for improvements to public and private institutions when addressing the transformation of the tourism sector towards a more sustainable environment. That is also parallel to a digital transformation both in procedures and in the use of resources.

New research for new challenges.
