Dear Colleagues,

The modification and manipulation of an organism's genes using the powerful technology, known as genetic engineering, also referred to as genetic modification or genetic manipulation is a collection of technologies used to alter cells' genetic make-up, including the movement of genes between and within species to create better or entirely new organisms. Many recombinant DNA techniques are available and used to isolate and copy the genetic material of interest, and artificial DNA synthesis is used to create new DNA. This DNA is typically inserted into the host organism using a suitable construct. Numerous different genetic alterations can be applied to genomes. These comprise targeted alterations that involve the deletion, insertion, or modification of DNA sequences, among other things. To silence a gene, chromosomal regions can be specifically targeted. Short chromosomal regions can be deleted if they contain components that influence gene expression, activate genes, or alter the structure and behavior of proteins by changing their coding sequences. Gene function or product can be affected by modifying DNA sequences on the genome, for example, by activating or suppressing gene function in the phenotypic or product-level impacts of a new gene. The vast field of biotechnology includes the utilization of live creatures or their components to produce or construct products, processes, or technologies that have practical uses. It entails using biological systems and processes to enhance a variety of aspects of human existence, such as industrial production, agriculture, medicine, and environmental sustainability. Biotechnology can help create more sustainable practices as sustainability gains importance. This includes creating ecologically friendly manufacturing techniques, renewable energy sources, and bio-based materials. In addition, biotechnology can lessen our reliance on fossil fuels, cut down on waste production, and lessen the environmental damage caused by human activity. Research articles and reviews in this area of study are welcome. We look forward to receiving your contributions.
