Special Issue Information

Today, significant industries such as oil, gas, water, and petrochemicals are seeking ways to enhance efficiency and access resources through innovative and practical technologies. Consequently, it is crucial for these industries to endeavor towards updating their existing systems. Annually, novel technologies, encompassing artificial intelligence, diverse testing methodologies for product attainment, experimental tests, novel tools, functional equipment, etc., are introduced to these industries. Industrial engineers can leverage these applied technologies to discover practical solutions for their challenges.

One notable application is artificial intelligence (AI), a relatively recent technology. With appropriate training, this technology can initially furnish reasonably accurate predictions based on the specific problem at hand. Numerous studies have been undertaken to predict various parameters within the realms of oil, gas, water, and petrochemical sciences. The objective of this special issue is to present original articles covering diverse topics, including, but not limited to, the following:

· Crude-oil desalting system

· Gas trapping

· Deep learning

· Hybrid machine learning

· Water source prediction

· Well log tools

· Prediction of two-phase flow

· New well test tools

· Gas filtration technique

· Hybrid machine learning

· Prediction of key factors in Geo science

· Determination of key factor in oil and gas

· Optimization for water, oil and gas system

· Geophysical exploration
