Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Due to the impacts of the continuous increase of global energy demand and the many uncertainties of energy supply ahead, the combination of unconventional energy and nano technology will continue to play a crucial. To meet the global energy consumption, one should pay special attention not only to the stability and availability of conventional energy, but also to the development of transformational technologies for subsurface energy systems that will contribute to tight oil, shale oil, heavy oil, etc.

Considering all the above, we propose a special issue with the title “Preparation and Performance of Nano-Sized Oil-Displacement Agent and Its Effect on Enhanced Oil Recovery”. This Special Issue will primarily cover the papers in the performance of novel oil displacement agent and the effect on EOR (e.g., tight oil, shale oil, heavy oil), while highlighting theoretical, technological, and practical development and improvement in literature of these areas. We welcome manuscripts at subnational, national, or international levels, as well as those from legal, ethical, and social aspects. No methodology constraints will be applied. Innovative technologies and methods are especially encouraged.

Suitable topics include, but are not limited to the following:

• Tight oil exploitation and development

• Shale oil exploitation and development

• Heavy oil exploitation and development

• Transport characteristic of nano agent in porous media

• Oil displacement model and mechanisms of nano agent
