Special Issue Information

Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) is a technology that aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by capturing carbon dioxide from industrial processes and storing it underground or using it in other applications. CCUS has the potential to play a significant role in mitigating climate change by reducing carbon dioxide emissions from power plants, industrial facilities, and other sources. The technology involves three main steps: capturing carbon dioxide, transporting it to a storage location, and storing it permanently. CCUS is a complex and interdisciplinary field that requires collaboration between engineers, scientists, policymakers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions.

This special issue includes but is not limited to the following:

Development of new materials for carbon capture

Optimization of carbon capture processes for industrial applications

Assessment of the environmental impact of CCUS technologies

Analysis of the economic viability of CCUS projects

Evaluation of policy frameworks to support CCUS implementation
