Chetana S is an Assistant Professor and researcher specializing in Nanotechnology and Materials Science. He currently works at ATME College of Engineering in Mysore, Karnataka, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Nanotechnology from Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka, which he completed in 2023. His doctoral research focused on the synthesis of nanostructure chalcogenides-MXene nanocomposites and their application in biosensors and supercapacitors. Educational background includes a master’s degree in Nano Science and Technology from Kuvempu University, Shivamogga, Karnataka, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Visveswaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka. From October 2021 to January 2023, Chetana served as a scientific officer and Assistant Professor at the Department of Research and Innovation at Uttaranchal University in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He was responsible for operating and maintaining various equipment such as SEM, XRD, FTIR, cyclic voltammetry, spin & dip coating, and CVD instruments in the energy storage lab. Since February 2023. He has published research articles in various scientific journals, including Materials Research Bulletin, Ceramics International, Journal of Materials Science, and others. His research interests include nanomaterials synthesis, instrumentation, biosensors, energy storage, photocatalysis, and electrocatalysis. Apart from his research work, he also has background in nanotechnology, materials science, and instrumentation. He is skilled in various experimental and analytical techniques such as microscopy (SEM, AFM, HR-TEM), spectroscopy (UV-visible, FT-IR, X-ray Diffraction, XPS), and others. He is proficient in handling large experiments, possesses excellent time management skills, and has strong analytical and computer skill.
