Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue, “Thermal Power and Energy Systems”, will address recent advances in analytical and numerical modeling of Thermal Power and Energy systems. Thermal Power and Energy systems and Plants can come in different types (e.g. Conventional power plants and Renewable power plants) and also range from power outputs of a few kW to hundreds of MW. So far, most investigations have focused on proof of concept or demonstrators.  Recently, the interest in thermal power and energy systems are renewable energy systems i.e. solar thermal concentrating plants and storage for practical applications and investments have been increasing due to the urgent requirement for carbon neutrality. Additionally, it reduces the dependence on more financially volatile energy production sources. This special issue will focus on the dynamic modeling methods and approaches and experimental validation of such methods of all the relevant processes in the operation of thermal power and energy systems. All types of articles are welcomed for this Special Issue, including but not limited to original research papers, letters, reviews, and prospects.
