Section Collection Information

Dear Colleagues,

The Soil and Plant Interactions section publishes original, peer-reviewed research focusing on sustainable agriculture. The section welcomes original research papers on various aspects of plant and soil management, emphasizing hypothesis-driven studies with strong mechanistic components. Additionally, the section considers review articles that critically assess the existing literature and provide insights for the future development of the research field.

The main focus of this section is to explore the crucial relationship between soil health plant growth. This relationship plays a pivotal role in ensuring food security and delivering a wide range of ecosystem services. The Soil and Plant interaction section also invites articles that explore the impact of agronomic management regimes on below-ground root-soil interactions. This can encompass research on various topics, including the influence of irrigation regimes, tillage practices, fertilization methods, climate change mitigation strategies, and soil amendments aimed at reducing plant stress, among others.

The publication of these articles in the Soil and Plant Interaction section aims to benefit farmers, consumers, industries, and policymakers by providing valuable insights into selecting and implementing improved technologies and methodologies. Additionally, these studies will contribute to the development of strategies for more effective resource management across different scales, thereby supporting sustainable agriculture and addressing important environmental challenges.

So, research articles, reviews and studies in this area of study are welcome. We look forward to receiving your contributions.
