Dear Colleagues,

Nanotechnology is becoming a new trend in the industrial researches since 2000. It has many, wide applications and bright future for producing, packaging, recovering and waste processing which is environmentally more friendly. In the area of agriculture, nanotechnology is used to increase crop productivity, product quality, consumer acceptance and efficient use of resources. The application of nanotechnology will help reduce agricultural costs, increase productivity, increase production values and increase agricultural income. In addition to supporting conservation and improving the quality of natural resources in agricultural production systems.

Nanotechnology is applied in precision farming systems to maximize crop output/yields, while minimizing seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, water, etc. Precision farming systems are related to smart delivery systems, in which chemicals such as fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides are delivered in a targeted and controlled manner. In addition, nanotechnology is also applied in system identification to track livestock and plant materials/products from origin to consumption; integrated systems for sensing, monitoring, and active response interventions for crop and livestock production; smart field systems to detect, locate, report and provide water directly; and development of plants that are resistant to drought and tolerant to salinity and humidity.

Therefore, we are interested and welcome original research articles, research and/or technological reviews and policies driven programs for enhancing the micro and nano-based green implementations in horticulture and agriculture.

We are looking forward for your contributions.
