Journal of Polymer Science and Engineering is a developing scientific publication in polymer science. Featuring research articles, reviews, comments and perspectives, the journal covers all applications of polymers, including biomaterials, polymer surface coatings, membranes, polymer blends, energy conversion and storage, and biomedical implants; as well as all types of polymeric materials, from polysaccharides, poly peptides to composites, to biodegradable polymers.

The journal bridges the crucial gap between basic research and patenting of an invention, targeting a broad audience of academic and industrial researchers, as well as the increasingly important world of scientists and engineers at medical device and biopharma companies, working with material science and polymer technology.

As polymer research is rapidly growing around the globe, the aim of this “polymer applications section” is to establish itself as a significant information tool not only for the international polymer researchers in academia but also for those working in industry, and this section covers a wide range of the highly interdisciplinary field of polymer science and their technology applications.

Research topics in the polymer applications section cover all aspects of polymers for biomedical applications, core sub-disciplines, and representative areas, including but not limited to: interdisciplinary developing fields such as functional and specialty polymers, biomaterials, polymers drug delivery, tissue engineering scaffolds, polymers in electronic applications, composites, conducting polymers, liquid crystalline materials and the interphases between polymers and ceramics, and new fabrication techniques, where significant contributions are being made. The topics also include: Polymers for Energy Conversion and Storage, for Environment and Sustainability, Polymers for Biomimetic and Smart Devices. Research articles and reviews in this area of study are welcome.
