Section Collection Information

Dear Colleagues,

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), urgent climate action is needed to mitigate the effects of climate change due to carbon emissions. In this recent report, the emissions should reach an anticipated maximum amount by 2025 to reduce the global warming by 43% by 2030 [1]. The strategies involving adaptation and mitigation heavily relies on accurate and reliable scientific information for better planning by the stakeholders. Climate change is a ‘global crisis’ and affects all countries in different ways depending on many factors including geographical location and size.

Thus, we are interested in the significant science and engineering advances in the climate change impacts, carbon emissions reduction solutions in various sectors (i.e. transportation, electricity, manufacture, agriculture, etc.). In addition, economic analysis, policy and justice assessment that advance our knowledge and inform the strategic development of new technologies and solutions are welcome. we also have a particular interest in research applying multidisciplinary approach to examine the relevant issues.

Hence, this special issue invites all researchers to contribute to this important topic through your submissions of articles and reviews.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.

Kind Regards,
