Abstract


The analysis being the subject of this work covers temperature distribution in welding area (welded materials and electrodes) in classical resistance spot welding. The paper describes a new method used for cooling welded materials and electrodes in resistance welding by means of the so-called mist cooling. The tests incorporated analysis and comparative calculations (FEM) for conventional cooling and a new cooling agent i.e. water mist. The calculations were verified experimentally. The final section contains the description of testing station and presentation of experiment results.
