On 25 March 2025, Elsevier officially released its 2024 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” list. This list uses citation data from Scopus as the statistical source for Chinese scholars’ research achievements, employing a methodology developed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy. We are proud to announce that two Editorial Board Members of our journal Characterization and Application of Nanomaterials (CAN, eISSN: 2578-1995), Prof. Zhong Jin and Prof. Baoguo Han, have been selected into the list. Congratulations to them! Prof. Zhong Jin Nanjing University, China Prof. Jin currently works at School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Nanjing University, China, and his research experience ranges from nanoscience to novel materials, especially the multidisciplinary research for clean energy applications. He conducted efforts on incorporating nanomaterials into electrochemical clean-energy systems, nanoelectronics and photoelectric devices. In the 2024 Elsevier “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” list, his exceptional research performance in the field of Chemistry is acknowledged. He received this honor for four consecutive years. Prof. Baoguo Han Dalian University of Technology China Prof. Han, affiliated with Dalian University of Technology since 2012, has established himself as a leading scholar in materials science. His research interest covers nanotechnology in civil engineering. He has published a large number of insightful articles that have gained more than ten thousand citations. In the 2024 Elsevier “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” list, his exceptional research performance in the field of Civil Engineering is acknowledged.
