Special Issue Information

Geospatial applications such as Google Earth Engine and Microsoft Planetary have acquired an increased importance in Cartography. These platforms, like many others developed locally, allow analyzes on different scales thanks to the numerous satellite and territorial data collected/stored. Currently, their use is also growing in the Health sector but is still poorly explored. This Special Issue aims to explore the current state-of-the-art of these tools in particular applied to One Health and wildlife transmissible diseases contexts.

Algorithms, scripts and codes, case studies, applications, citizen science GIS tools developed on Google Earth Engine, Microsoft Planetary or other geospatial tools (even locally and non-cloud) are welcome!

In particular, we encourage the submissions of Articles, Reviews, Communications, Case Reports and any type of manuscript that address the SI’ topics.

The main goal of this SI is to fill the knowledge gap in the sector by promoting technological transfer and a conscious use of these tools in the health sector by strengthening One Health approaches through the development of models, maps, applications, algorithms and innovative uses of remote sensing data and GIS or simply stimulate a knowledge of the existing ones.
