Special Issue Information

Dear Researchers,

Sustainable development becomes a common goal for many countries. Energy consumption will continue to increase due to population growth, improvement of living standards, increase in the number of smart home appliances, global warming, and climate change. Social development is inseparable from the consumption of resources, but the number of available resources is becoming less and less. With the overexploitation of resources, environmental problems are becoming increasingly prominent. In the global green economy transformation, it is extremely urgent to speed up the green transformation and promote the application of green energy. To achieve the goal of sustainable development, different green energy including renewable hydrogen, bioenergy, wind, and hydropower have been developed and deployed in many industrial fields with all kinds of applications such as transport fuels and power generation. Many countries actively achieve the goal of carbon emission reduction through the industrialization of green energy. Therefore, research on multi-approaches to such green energy applications for energy conservation and carbon reduction is increasingly important.

This Special Issue aims to gather high-quality papers that will drive the development of sustainable energy technologies, with a particular emphasis on multi-approaches to green energy application and carbon mitigation for achieving sustainable development and their interactions at different scales. The special issue encourages interdisciplinary research and welcomes theoretical and practical research from all methodological approaches. Submitted contributions will go through a peer-review process performed by independent reviewers. Original case studies and review papers are invited for publication in this Special Issue.

The potential topics of this special issue include, but are not limited to:

Energy consumption and usage; Life Cycle Assessment;

Measuring and analyzing sustainable green energy technologies and applications;

Other topics related to clean technology/cleaner production, or renewable and green energy.
