Special Issue Information

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement is a global consensus to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutral development. According to the International Energy Agency, manufacturing was one of the major sector contributors to global carbon emissions in 2020, accounting for about 17%. Technological innovation is the driving force to support the sustainable development of manufacturing industry. In recent years, digital technology plays a crucial role in manufacturing industry’s response to the dual challenges of green upgrading and digital transformation. Green innovation is a process of green technology, product and process innovation, as well as the corresponding organization, management and system innovation. Digital technology is empowered to form digital green innovation in the field of green innovation. When it is necessary to evaluate and model human knowledge in digital green innovation, fuzzy set theory is usually the most suitable.

Various elements in the digital green innovation system of manufacturing industry interweave with each other to form an organic whole, which has the characteristics of dynamic, complex, nonlinear and delayed. However, there are some limitations in using traditional quantitative methods to describe it, so we must find a dynamic analysis tool that can match its characteristics. Fuzzy set theory is one of the key tool to solve this problem, and help to explain the complex environment of digital green innovation management. Therefore, the application of fuzzy system model to solve the problems in digitization and green innovation management is conducive to the in- depth study of social science and promote the development of manufacturing engineering.
