The ongoing digitization of all areas of the economy, which results from the fourth Industrial Revolution, implies the need to analyze the effects of changes in the economy and society. Changes affect all areas of human life to an unprecedented degree. The fourth industrial revolution implies using smart technologies, new business models and new skills and knowledge of employment.
Furthermore, modern research should consider aspects related to ensuring sustainable development of the economy, sustainable production and consumption, with particular emphasis on the currently developed Industry 5.0 concept. This idea implies the return of the human factor to industry, i.e. increased collaboration between people and intelligent cyber-physical systems.
