In the last decade the technologies applied in the agri-food sector have undergone a remarkable evolution with the availability of better sensors improved data transmission and increased computational power. Agriculture 4.0 and Industry 4.0 revolutions are inseparable allowing the adoption of integrated technologies which allow the generation and analysis of a massive volume of data. These technologies seek to improve efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in agricultural/industrial production. The involved technologies are capable of efficiently measuring the quality and safety of agricultural products. Additionally, Agriculture 5.0 seeks to help farmers make informed decisions and optimize crop management using Artificial Intelligence and deep learning algorithms to deal with the generated massive volume of data. This Special Issue aims at presenting the latest technological advances and their contribution to the agri-food sector, to foresee where they will lead the sector and its practices in the coming years
