Dear Colleagues,

Climate change is an increasingly pressing threat to all the issues humans are concerned about such as economy, society, ecosystem even the planet. In this challenging context, it becomes imperative to develop strategic management approaches to increase the resilience of natural resources to climate change while considering circular politics and economy. Research on trends in climate change is oriented towards providing optimistic solutions for the protection and sustainable use of natural resources despite the realities that humanity has not faced before.

Resilient Natural Resource Strategic Management involves government policy by integrating climate objectives into conjunctural and structural measures. It emphasizes on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting the use of renewable energy resources instead of fossil fuels, the sustainable management of forests and green areas, and the changing consumption behavior.

Monitoring and positively influencing climate change trends require collaboration between public and private sectors, governments and non-governmental organizations, and all the possibilities from companies to develop and implement innovative technologies and practices that reduce environmental impact and increase the resilience of natural resources.

Circular economy emphasizes the minimization of waste and efficient use of resources through recycling and reuse. An important trend is the adoption of circular business models that are based on the extending life cycle of products and the creating sustainable chains. These models promote the circular use of resources and reduce dependance on new raw materials, which contributes to the strategic management of natural resources in a climate-resilient manner.

The Special Issue "Trends in Climate Change-resilient Natural Resource Strategic Management Considering Policy and Circular Economy" intends to provide innovative and sustainable approaches to face current and future climate challenges. By integrating climate objectives into natural resource management strategies and by promoting the circular economy, it contributes to protecting the environment and the sustainable use of natural resources as well as ensuring a resilient and sustainable future for next generations.
