Gas Chromatography (GC)
Section Collection Information
Dear Colleagues,
Gas Chromatography (GC) refers to the process of separating compounds present in mixture and is generally divided into two types i) Gas-solid Chromatography and ii) Gas-liquid chromatography. Gas represents mobile phase which is known as carrier gas (inert gases) while solid/ liquid represents stationary phase over which chemical constituents get adsorbed. Gas-solid Chromatography has not much applications so Gas-liquid chromatography is commonly called Gas Chromatography and has wide range of applications when coupled with Thermal conductivity detector (TCD), Electron capture detector (ECD), Flame ionization detector (FID) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) in the in the field of environment, analytical and medicinal chemistry. It provides qualitative and quantitative information about chemical constituents present in air, water, soil and living beings especial organic one.
Therefore, we are interested in the application of GC for monitoring and assessment chemical constituent for academic researches and environemntal applications. We are highly interested to collect the novel findings in the form of research articles and reviews related to above described research thrust.
