Dear Colleagues,

Biomedical instrumentation is an emergent discipline combining biomedical and engineering knowledges and techniques in order to develop equipment, devices, sensors, and technological solutions making it possible to measure and monitor different signals and parameters, evaluate, diagnosis, and treat diseases efficiently.

It is an expanding field which brings together many specialties, e.g., medicine, biology, biomechanics, electronics, physics, as well as computer science, artificial intelligence (telemedicine, care and patients’ follow-up, making decisions, …), and internet of medical things (IoMT).

This section is dedicated to a large variety of biomedical instruments and equipment: diagnostic equipment, medical imaging equipment and techniques, durable medical equipment, therapeutic equipment, life support equipment, medical laboratory equipment, sensors and systems, and their associated signals and image acquisition and processing techniques.

Articles, reviews, and studies in this research area are welcome. We look forward to receiving your contributions.
