Dear Colleagues,

In recent years, growing interest has been directed in developing more advanced imaging techniques and methodologies for analyzing such data. The ultimate goal is to enrich the tools we have at hand to help us understand the brain structure-function relationship, a key point in the study of both healthy and pathological brain patterns. Especially in the medical field, the use of imaging techniques has grown exponentially and it is now performed routinely in the clinical practice. More than ever, interdisciplinary efforts between medicine, mathematics and engineering are directed in the use of imaging techniques and their central role in therapeutics, although how these methods are to be optimally applied has yet to be clearly established.

In consideration of the complexity of this field, we welcome research articles, reviews and meta-analysis investigating the use of neuroimaging techniques in clinical trials, highlighting the applications of medical imaging for the diagnosis and prognosis of neurological and psychiatric disorders, as well as the criticalities of such techniques. Articles comparing methodologies for analyzing imaging data are also welcomed.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
