Aims & Scope

The purpose of Medical Imaging Process & Technology (MIPT) is to act as a platform for the exchange of research results concerning medical imaging technology in medical detection, prevention, health, etc. Articles published in MIPT will be of interest of medical imaging system and medical image processing, and the scope welcomes the manuscripts from all the medical imaging aspects including imaging diagnostics, radiology, endoscopy, medical thermal imaging technology, medical photography and microscope. The original research is highly regarded, such as visualization, data structure and representation, pattern matching and recognition, object detection, change detection, motion estimation and related methods.

The topic fields include but are not limited to:

  • Imaging mechanism

  • Imaging system
  • Angiography
  • Cardiac angiography
  • CT, Computerized tomography
  • Mammography
  • PET, Position emission tomography
  • NMRI, Nuclear magnetic resonance imaging
  • Medical ultrasonography

The final aim is to solve the varieties types of problems using biomedical image datasets: visualization, image-guided surgery and intervention, augmented reality for therapy guidance, telemedicine, telesurgery, etc.

Dr Izzo is Principal Investigator of a number of national and international protocols in this field and has authored or co-authored more than 220 publications and 18 book chapters relating to the treatment of patients with HPB tumours. He is an active member of numerous professional societies, including the European Society of Surgical Oncology, the World Federation of Surgical Oncology, Society of Surgical Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

MIPT receives the financial support of Asia Pacific Academy of Science Pte. Ltd., hence the APC is free for authors for the time being. The editorial office of MIPT expresses its sincere thanks to the sponsor.

Waiver Policy

MIPT is committed to promoting the academic development in the world without any financial barrier to knowledge sharing and learning. There has developed a waiver policy especially for authors from low-income countries. Authors who are interested in applying for a waiver could contact editorial-mipt@enpress-publisher.com. MIPT reserves the right to approve or reject a waiver application.

How to submit

  • Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
