Dr. Cai worked in Applied and Computational Mathematics for more than 20 years. He developed effective and efficient numerical algorithms for Multi-physics problems that arise from Biomechanics, Geoscience, Computational Physics, and Engineering. He published 30 peer-reviewed journal papers, 2 book chapters, and more than 20 conference papers and posters. Some of his papers are published in top journals like SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, Journal of Biomechanics, Mathematics of Computation, and SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing.
