Dr. Dan Singh Jakhar is working as an Assistant Professor at Agriculture University, Jodhpur. Growing up in an agricultural family and possessing an innate interest in plants, Dr. Jakhar was inspired to pursue courses in the Agricultural Sciences stream. During his undergraduate studies, he obtained significant knowledge about Genetics & Plant Breeding. He enrolled in the Marathwada Agricultural University (MAU), Parbhani to pursue a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science. He joined the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri to pursue a master's degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding. He enrolled at the esteemed Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi to pursue a Ph. D. degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding after completing his master's degree. During his Ph. D. the research topic was “Mapping of Genes and Molecular Diversity Studies of Turcicum Leaf Blight in Maize (Zea mays L.)”. He has published several research papers in reputed Journals, Books, Popular articles, Book chapters, Review articles, as well as actively participated in the several Seminar/Symposia/Workshop at national and International level. Dr. Jakhar also working as “Review Editor” in the Editorial Board of Frontiers in Agronomy and Frontiers in Soil Science from May, 2020 to till date.
