Prof. Yanfang Sang

Yanfang Sang specialized in Hydrometeorology, Natural Disasters, Climate Change, and Time Series Analysis. He is currently funded by the Chinese National Research Council (NSFC), Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ministry of Sciences and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, as principal investigator of several projects focusing on the hydroclimate variability and related natural disasters, and their impacts and risks at global and regional scales.
He has published more than 80 papers tier international peer-reviewed journals such as Nature Reviews Earth & Environment, One Earth, Journal of Hydrology, Journal of Climate, Environmental Research Letters, Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres, etc. He is an Editor serving for the Natural Hazards Research, Hydrology, and Computer Simulation in Application.
Currently, he is based at Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and also based at the Key Laboratory of Compound and Chained Natural Hazards Dynamics, Ministry of Emergency Management of China. His aims to work further on urban flooding disasters, and also mountain flooding and landslides disasters on High Mountain Areas.
