Dr. Manish Raj
Indian institute of Information Technology Allahabad, India
I’ve been an assistant professor at the Automation department of the Banasthali university since june 2017. I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Robotics and AI from the Indian Institute of Information Technology , Allahabad. My Ph.D.topic includes Locomotion Control of Bipedal humanoid robots. My doctoral dissertationwas conducted in consultation with Prof.G.C.Nandi and examinesthe use of a relatively new methodology for the control and optimize the locomotion of humanoid robots. Some artificial intelligence techniques are also developed for controlling the humanoid locomotion. In addition to my research, other areas that interest me for my future research stem from my goal of developing improved analytical models and methods for design, evaluation, and upgrade of humanoids structures subjected to stability and energy consumption. One of the studies that I have started is the development of localization and mapping(SLAM problem) of the robot systems.I have also worked on the evaluation and improvement
of accuracy of nonlinear dynamic of robots and mathematical aspects of Robots (kinematics, dynamics and control).I have also developed a model to rescue the human in bore-well environment( Project Proposal to DST, India).I have worked with many of simulators (gazebo, webots, yobots, chaoscope, etc) and platform (ROS) related to robotics and nonlinear systems.
