Prof. Antonio d'Acierno

Antonio d’Acierno received the Laurea degree com Laude in Electronics Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II on October, 28th 1988. Since 1988 to 1999, he was actively integrated into the research group of IRSIP (Institute for Research on Parallel Informatics Systems) of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR). In 1999 he joined the Institute of Food Science (ISA) of CNR. Currently, he is Contract Professor of Data Base at the Faculty of Information Engineering of the Universit degli Studi di Salerno, too. He was involved in several international, national and local research projects and at present is an author of more than 100 publications on journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests lie in the field of spatial databases, information retrieval, semantic web, bioinformatics and web applications.
