Dr. Shirsendu Mitra
Pandit Deendayal Energy University - Department of Chemical Engineering, India
Dr. Shirsendu Mitra is currently working as Assistant Professor, in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Pandit Deendayal Energy University, India. After completing school education in 2007, he acquired a B.Sc degree in Chemistry in 2010 and a B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering in 2013 from the University of Calcutta. He earned his Ph.D. in 2020 from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He has research expertise in the fields like modelling of microparticle motions employing fluid- structure interaction physics under various external and self-
generated force fields that include electrophoretic,
chemophoresis, and self- electrophoresis. Alongside
theoretical work, he has expertise in experimental research
that includes biosensors development, micro/-nano motor
fabrication, and related. More precisely, his research interest includes computational fluid dynamics, micromotors, electrokinetics,
acoustic levitation, and biosensors. He has also worked with
two start up companies to assist in their initial research and
development work that relates to portable biomedical device development.
