Dr. Chiwei Su is a Distinguished Professor at Qingdao University, a Doctoral Supervisor, and a New Century Talent of the Ministry of Education. He also serves as the Director of the Capital Market Research Institute.

Representative Research Papers:


Prof. Su specializes in the research of theoretical and practical issues related to international finance, with a specific focus on international finance and regional economic development, RMB exchange rate and interest rate, and China's monetary policy and local economic development, among other related issues. He is also responsible for planning the 13th Five-Year Plan Project of Inclusive Finance for the Shandong Province Finance Office, which aims to promote the practice and radiation effect of inclusive finance in Shandong Province. Through research in small and microfinance, agricultural finance, and internet finance in Shandong Province, the project seeks to expand the benefits of financial services and promote the transformation of economic and social development in the region.


In terms of scientific research achievements, Prof. Su has published over 250 papers as the first or corresponding author, including 200 SSCI papers and 40 SCI papers. He has been listed as the 4th and 5th most highly cited scholars in China in the discipline of Applied Economics for the years 2021 and 2020, respectively. His work spans various fields, including Energy Policy, Energy, Technological Change, Resources Policy, Urban Studies, Economic Modelling, International Review of Economics and Finance, Emerging Markets Review, and Economics of Transition, among other high-level SSCI journals.
