Dr. Ramesh Kandimalla
CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, India
As an Assistant Professor at Kakatiya Medical College and a DBT-Ramalinswami fellow at CSIR-IICT, I bring with me extensive experience in the field of neuroscience. I hold a Ph.D. from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and have completed postdoctoral fellowships at esteemed institutions such as McGill University, Canada; Emory University, NASA, GaTech, and Texas Tech University, USA
Over the course of 15 years, my research has centered around several key areas, including the development of new animal models for Alzheimer’s disease, exploring the impact of ionizing radiation on the central nervous system, investigating the mechanisms of DNA repair in brain tumors, and examining the therapeutic potential of chemical-engineered plasmids, peptides, nanomaterials, and other compounds in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
With a publication record that includes more than 95 peer-reviewed articles and a 40 H-Index, I have established myself as a leading authority in the field. I am also actively involved in securing NIH R01 grants and DBT Grants and serve as an editor and associate editor for several prestigious neuroscience and Biochemistry journals.
