Dr. Alfin Kurniawan

Alfin Kurniawan was born in Surabaya, Indonesia. After completing a Bachelor's degree in
chemical engineering in 2012 from Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya, he moved to Taiwan to study chemical engineering at the National Taiwan University of Science and
Technology (Taiwan Tech), where he obtained his PhD degree in 2018. From 2018-2021, he
carried out postdoctoral work at Taiwan Tech and National Sun Yat-Sen University with support
from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). In 2022, he joined the AMSC Group at the Zhejiang University of Technology as a senior researcher. His research focuses mainly on the
adsorption process for water/wastewater treatment and synthesis of porous and nanocomposite materials for heterogeneous catalysis. He is co-author of more than 50 publications in reputable international peer-reviewed journals (h-index 23) and 3 book chapters. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Environmental Chemistry (Section: Sorption Technologies). When not doing research, he enjoys reading books and cycling.
